A family living room designed in a contemporary classic style that combines the grandeur of traditional elements with the elegance of modern details, creating a warm and balanced space that reflects the client’s taste and personality.
Our scope of work included reconfiguring the space by adding a wall to separate the living area, installing ceiling cornices, and selecting all furniture pieces and accessories, with the exception of the sofa, which had been chosen in advance by the client.
During the initial meeting, the client expressed her passion for vibrant colors and Oriental rugs. Based on this, the rug became the starting point from which the entire design direction of the space was developed. As the most prominent and highest-value element of the project, we ensured that it served as the main visual focal point of the seating area, with all surrounding materials, colors, and details harmonizing with it.
The rug bears the Hereke signature, named after the Turkish city renowned worldwide for producing some of the finest handmade Oriental rugs. Historically, Hereke rugs were associated with Ottoman palaces and European elites before their influence extended to many royal courts across Asia and Europe, making them one of the most distinguished symbols of craftsmanship and luxury in the world of Oriental rugs.
To enhance the colors of the rug within the space, we incorporated Pink Onyx marble alongside Verde Macael marble, both known for their distinctive presence and harmonious color variations. We also selected wallpaper embroidered with floral threads and green botanical details to reinforce the contemporary classic character that defines the project.
